You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. — Mark 12:30

    May 11, 2009 /

Faith in God is not just a feeling, it might start with that, but you have to use the mind that God has given you to learn from His word, to get to know Him more and to love Him with all your being. Read entire chapter here.

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. — Isaiah 40:8

    May 11, 2009 /

Everything in this world in temporal, grass withers, flowers fade, cars rust, houses crumble.  The only thing that lasts forever is the hope we have in Jesus and the eternal life we have in Him. Read entire chapter here.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. — James 1:19

    May 11, 2009 /

The fleshly body can often offend by the quick words that we speak.  Let the Spirit lead you in listening to others, then thinking first before you speak, if you should speak at all. Read entire chapter here.

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe. — Proverbs 29:25

    May 11, 2009 /

The fear of man is really the fear of your ego being squashed.  People are afraid of looking stupid in front of other people and try to put on a facade.  But God knows the depths of our hearts and He still loves up the same.  His love is indescribable.  We can trust in Him and feel safe in His arms. Purposed in My Heart

    May 3, 2009 /

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself”  Daniel 1:8 “Dare to be a Daniel.”  That was the main theme while my pastor was teaching through the book of Daniel.  It’s because Daniel purposed in his heart to not defile himself and to devote his life to the living God.  He was a man filled with the Spirit and did amazing things, he was blessed with wisdom and insight and was greatly used by God.  Daniel’s life was a witness for the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, who by the end of his reign glorifies God. And at the end of the time[a] I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes…

    Living a Purpose Filled Life

    May 3, 2009 /

Third email reply I sent my friends after I sent them some links about dinosaur tissue finds: (read the first& second replies) My belief in God is not temporary in the least; Jesus has a death grip on my heart, His death on the cross.  Hinduism, belief in Brahman, the unchangeable god that is everything and everything is him, including us.  Our life is one of karma, and we are reincarnated over and over again until we are enlightened (changed) to the reality that we are one with Brahman.  Once we are “enlightened,” we become part of or absorbed into Brahman.  There’s Brahman changing again and we lose our identity…
